As an African American, it is vital that clinical trials embrace diversity. I have seen first hand how people of color have suffered from having a limited access to medical knowledge. Some medicines can affect people of color differently and thus clinical trials needs to embrace diversity in their studies and tests. Representation matters so that all people can have access to quality healthcare. As a result, I will always advocate for diversity in clinical trials.
